ABSU POST UTME RESULT!!!



The Vice Chancellor, Professor E. Uche Ikonne, has expressed the willingness of the University to partner Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ACCIMA), in the establishment of a Business School in Aba.
Professor Ikonne disclosed this during a courtesy visit by ACCIMA Executives at the conference room of the University.

He thanked the team on behalf of Management and Senate for the proposal, stressing the need to narrow the gap between Industry and classroom, while calling for the establishment of an Aba Stock Exchange, which will raise the level of enterprise in the commercial city.
Earlier, the President of ACCIMA, Rtn, Andy Obasi had asked for collaboration and assistance of the University in the establishment of a Business School which will help grow businesses in the City.
In a vote of thanks, Mr Emma Nwakpadolu, the Patron and Immediate Past President of ACCIMA, expressed appreciation to the Vice Chancellor and Managemet, and prayed for God’s protection on their behalf.
The Management Team, Director of Academic Planning, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration were present during the Visit.

CYBER CRIME SUMMIT
The students of Computer Sciences in Abia State University Uturu had her summit tagged: CYBER CRIME SUMMIT at the school Auditorium today been 10th July, 2018. Different resource personnel were also invited and they gave out their speech on Cyber-crime; The Deputy Vice Chancellor, The Head of police Department in Abia State, The Resource personnel from EFCC and others respectively.

The Host Dr. I Ijioma The head of department of Computer Science, Dr. Chisom, and other associates. Dr. Chisom, a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science gave a thorough remarkable speech on the subject matter Cyber-Crime Summit which he went on to disintegrate it by letting the audience know about Common Cyber Attack which can be Phishing, Ransomware etc. and other related cyber-attack which he said has been a hitch in Nigeria and the World at large. He further emphasized on how to control so many cyber-attacks, within and outside our very environment, such as rejecting uninvited messages that usually comes inside our phone for example, a message in this format; (that CBN has blocked your ATM card because of BVN verification, for further solution or enquiries, call) Dr. Chisom make the audience to understand that such message are to be neglected otherwise will result to another thing which may utter some secret information concerning your account with your bank and other related information concerning you and your treasure.

GreatMind Media Publication is pleased to inform All candidates who selected Abia State University as their First or Second choice,those who intend to change to ABSU as their First choice and those who did not use ABSU as their choice at all but want to be admitted into the University, who scored up to the University cut-off of 150 and above in the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), are hereby invited to register for Aptitude Test exercise. All Direct Entry candidates are also invited for the Aptitude Test.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
 Eligible candidates should Log on to the ABSU portal (abiastateuniversity.edu.ng) and generate an invoice.
Proceed to any branch of our designated Banks listed below and pay N2,000.00 only.

Zenith Bank Plc; First Bank Plc;  Ecobank Plc,
Fidelity Bank Plc; Union Bank Plc; UBA Plc.
Get back to the ABSU portal (abiastateuniversity.edu.ng) and click on Applicant.

Complete the Application Form, ensure you upload a clear passport photograph to avoid rejection of candidate and download a copy as an evidence of registration.

Jamb Begins Change Of Course, Institution & Data Correction For 2018 Aspirants

This is to inform all 2018 JAMB candidates that JAMB has opened the portal for the change of course and institutions as well as data correction
So all candidates who wishes to effect changes on either their course, institution or their bio-data details can proceed to do so at the closest Jamb CBT accredited center.
You can also correct your bio-data which include your name, date of birth, gender, state and Local Government of origin.



WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT JAMB 2018 CHANGE OF COURSE/INSTITUTION & DATA CORRECTION.

v  You are required to verify the usual cut-off mark for your school of choice to make sure they do not have a very high cut-off mark.
v  You can change all the courses and institutions at the same time if you want.
v  Once you make changes and submit. You cannot change again. So always go through your selections and ensure it is what you want before submitting.
v  Ensure that the course you are changing to is in line with your UTME subject combination. If you select a course that is not in line with your subject combination, you will be disqualified from admission. Please use the OnlineJAMB brochure to verify.
v  Also ensure that the course you are changing to is available in your institution of choice. You can equally use the JAMB Brochure to verify that.
v  There may be a limited number of schools or courses you can change to, so be sure to have 3 to 4 options, just in case the one you want to change to is not available.
v  The change of course and institution will attract 2,500. (the accredited centre that will help you with the change will likely charge an extra fee).
v  Only approved of JAMB CBT centres are allowed to make these changes.
v  Payment can be done via Remita before proceeding to the centres.


NOTE: You Must pay with JAMB account created on JAMB Portal. Paying via another account will render your required service tied to the paying account.


PROCEDURES:
Step 1- Log into your jamb profile
Step 2- open the menu tab on your jamb profile
Step 3- Click Register, under register a drop box will appear showing UTME correction of data.
Step 4- Click it and follow the steps to pay either online or bank.
You can make your payment online via JAMB portal. If you are having difficulties doing that, you can pay to the bank.
After paying N2,500 at the bank plus additional N1,000 naira, proceed to either the closest JAMB office or a JAMB accredited center to complete the process. An additional fee will be charged for the service.
