ABSU Post UTME Registration 2019/2020 is Now On


This is to inform all candidates who selected Abia State University as their First or Second Choice,those who did not choose ABSU at all but wish to migrate to ABSU through JAMB website and who scored 160 and above in the 2019 JAMB Examination are hereby invited to register for Aptitude Test exercise.
The Registration for the Aptitude Test is available on-line from Wednesday 19th June, 2019.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
  1. Eligible candidates should Log on to the ABSU portal (www.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng) and generate an invoice.
  • Proceed to any branch of our designated Banks listed below and pay N2,000.00 (Two thousand Naira) only. 

ABSU Microfinance Bank;  Sky Bank Plc;
Zenith Bank Plc;  First Bank Plc;  Ecobank Plc,
Fidelity Bank Plc; Union Bank Plc; UBA Plc.
  • Get back to the ABSU portal (www.abiastateuniversity.edu. ng) and click on Applicant.
  • Select ABSU Aptitude Test
  • Complete the Application Form, ensure you upload a clear passport photograph to avoid rejection of candidate and download a copy as an evidence of registration.
CLOSING DATE:
The closing date for the registration of the Aptitude Test is Friday, 19thJuly, 2019.
The Aptitude Test would hold on 24th, 25thand 26thJuly, 2019.

All candidates who wish to effect changes on either their course, institution or Bio-data details can proceed to do so at the closest JAMB CBT accredited centre.
You can also correct your Bio-data which include your name, date of birth, gender, state and local government of origin

What You Should Know Before You Proceed With Jamb 2019 Change Of Course/Institution And Data Correction
ü  You are required to verify the usual cut-off mark for your school of choice to make sure they do not have a very high cut-off mark.
ü  You can change all the courses and institutions at the same time if you want.
ü  Once you make your changes and submit. You cannot change again. So go through your selections and ensure it is what you want before submitting
ü  Ensure that the course you are changing to is in line with your UTME subject combination. If you select a course that is not in line with your subject combination, you will be disqualified from admission. Please use the online JAMB Brochure to verify.
ü  Also ensure that the course you are changing to is available in your institution of choice. You can equally use the JAMB Brochure to verify that.
ü  There may be a limited number of schools or courses you can change to, so be sure to have 3 or 4 options, just in case the one you want to change to is not available.
ü  The change of course and institution will attract N2,500. (the accredited centre that will help you with the changes will likely charge an extra fee)
ü  Only approved JAMB CBT Centres are allowed to make these changes.
ü  Payment can be done via Remita before proceeding to the centres.
Note: You must pay with your JAMB account created on JAMB Portal paying via another account will render your required service tied to the paying account.

PROCESS FLOW
Step 1 – Log into your Jamb profile
Step 2 – open the menu tab on your jamb profile
Step 3 – Click Register, under register a drop box will appear showing UTME correction of data
Step 4 – Click it and follow the steps to pay either online or bank
You can make your payment online via JAMB portal. If you are having difficulties doing that, you can pay to the bank.
After paying N2,500 at the bank plus additional bank charges of N100 naira, proceed to either the closest JAMB office or a JAMB accredited centre to complete the process. An additional fee will be charged for the service.

JAMB RELEASES OFFICIAL CUTOFF MARK


JAMB, Institutions Approve 160 as Cut-off Mark for 2019 Admission
The remarkable meeting of The 2019 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria has approved 160 and above as the national minimum benchmark for admission for the year 2019 into public universities such as State Universities and Federal Universities.

The meeting held at Bola Babalakin Auditorium, Gbongan, Osun State, on Tuesday also approved 140 as minimum UTME score for admission into private universities.

For public polytechnic, 120 UTME score was approved, while 110 score was approved as the least score for admission into private polytechnic.

For colleges of education, 100 and above was approved as the cut-off marks.
This means that the 2019 Admission process has just begun. Schools will begin announcing their Post-UTME sales forms and screening dates any moment from now. Mr Oloyede, however, said admission into all universities would be conducted on Central Admission Processing System.
According to him, JAMB is not responsible for the fixing of cut-off marks for tertiary institutions but rather a consensus between the institutions and stakeholders at the policy meeting.
Mr Oloyede, however stated that institutions cannot fix cut-off marks below what the stakeholders decided at the policy meeting.
