JAMB UNCOVERS NEW SCAM, ADVISES CANDIDATES TO KEEP REGISTRATION NUMBERS SECRET.

JAMB UNCOVERS NEW SCAM, ADVISES CANDIDATES TO KEEP REGISTRATION NUMBERS SECRET.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revealed the new way fraudsters have employed to defraud UTME candidates. The Registrar of The Board Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, who disclosed this in a weekly news bulletin which was released yesterday by the organization’s Head of Media, Dr. Fabian Benjamin.
He advised all candidates to “jealously guard their UTME registration numbers and profile codes to avoid falling victim of this latest scam”.

According to him, what these fraudsters do is to take advantage of their naivety and subsequently obtain their registration numbers with which they print their examination notifications slips, which contain the candidates’ phone number and other vital data.
These fraudsters then use the information to send a message to same candidates disguising as officials of the Board or persons who have special information, access and capacity to inflate the candidates’ scores among other things.
He added that the fraudsters use the information deprived of the examination notification slip printed, using the candidates registration number to open up a line of communication with candidates to dangle the enticing offer of awarding them higher scores in the yet-to-released 2019 UTME results among other mouth-watering information.

The registrar advised candidates to disregard message or calls from anybody claiming to have access to the Board’s classified information.
The board wished to state emphatically that the results of the 2019 UTME have not been released, “the registrar added”
It also urged the public, particularly parents and candidates, to be wary of these dubious elements and disregard any overtures made by anybody touting their power or influence to inflate any candidate’s score.
The board will make it public when the results are ready. As such, the channel through which candidates can view their results has been communicated to them.
In the meantime, security operatives have picked up some of these nefarious characters and they are on the trail of others still at large, “it further added

JAMB assures candidates 2019 UTME results will be released by Monday

JAMB assures candidates 2019 UTME results will be released by Monday

JAMB assures candidates 2019 UTME results will be released by Monday – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board have assured candidates who sat for the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination that results would be ready from Monday, April 29.

The Board’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dr Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria on Saturday in Bwari.
He said this was part of the board’s effort to address the issues of malpractice in the system.
The board had stated that it would only release the 2019 UTME results after undergoing thorough screening to identify and apprehend examination cheats.
The process would identify those involved in multiple registrations through biometric capturing and also address group registration by some elite schools, who end up mixing candidate’s data.
The board said: “Normally, results are expected to be out within 24 to 48 hours as obtained in previous examinations held in 2017 and 2018.
“However, the board does not want this to be business as usual.
“Hence the programmed delay, which is part of its deliberate effort to properly scrutinize, identify and address all forms of examination malpractice.
“The board will continue to act decisively with regards to any irregularity discovered even after results are released.
“However, the board has made it a point of duty to screen all activities at all centres via CCTV recordings, to ensure that it does not release results of compromised examinations.”
The board, while regretting all inconvenience caused in the process, reaffirmed its commitment to providing equal opportunity to all candidates in order to articulate their aspirations.
JAMB said that effective from when it would officially release the results, all candidates can simply send RESULT, via SMS, to 55019 using the same number that was used for registration.
The result, it said, would be replied as an SMS shortly after.
This process, the board explained, was simplified to eliminate exploitation by business centres and cyber cafés who often take advantage of candidates.
It also urged candidates to ignore all messages in circulation on how to check the results as they were all products of deceit.
The 2019 UTME was conducted from April 11 to April 18 and over 1.8 million candidates registered for it. (NAN)
Benjamin said that screening of the results would soon be over and the result released.“We are still screening but hopefully, anytime next week, the results will be ready,” he said. Speaking also on the board’s readiness to screen results of UTME candidates from 2009 to 2018,

Utme results: What JAMB said about reduction of candidates’ scores

Utme results: What JAMB said about reduction of candidates’ scores – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has described as fake, a trending report that scores of candidates who sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are being reduced.
The board, in a statement signed by its Head of Media and Publicity, Fabian Benjamin, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Abuja, said the report was false.
The report had claimed that scores of candidates who sat for the UTME and were found to have cheated were made to lose 100 marks.
JAMB said that an investigation carried out discovered that the fake news emanated from a gang who coordinated from a town called Igarra in Edo state with affiliates in Lagos and other states.
The board described the act as fraudulent and meant to extort parents and candidates.
“A gang being coordinated from a town called Igarra in Edo State with affiliates in Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Abia, Anambra and Plateau states are circulating fake notice of impending reduction of UTME scores.
“This is with intent to extort and defraud parents and candidates.
“Candidates results would be received on their registered cell phones as soon as the ongoing scrutiny of the examination centres are completed and publicly announced.
“Only the fraudulent candidates or parents stand being defrauded on this matter,” the board said.
NAN recalls that Mr Benjamin had in an interview on Sunday, warned candidates not be carried away by rumours and misleading information in some sections of the media, especially the social media.
He also said that the board distances itself from such rumours about releasing results of candidates of the just concluded UTME and steps to check these results as being speculated.
NAN reports that the 2019 UTME was conducted nationwide from April 11 to 18.
More than 1.8 million candidates registered for the examination.

Tips To Score High In Your JAMB Exam

JAMB is the biggest exam ever in Nigeria should in case you are not aware of it. A candidate is assigned to do and conclude this exam in just a day. That one day will determine your next move academically. I mean Maybe you will sit at home if you fail it by having a low score or Have the chance of gaining admission if you pass it with a high and meaningful score.

I will never forget to tell you the best thing to achieve a High Score in JAMB. You just have to ready and read without ceasing. Attempt Past questions overnight. Forget about your boo's issue and do what will benefit you academically. Then leave the rest for Almighty God to take control.

MALPRACTICE??? HELL NO!!!

Well, We all know JAMB will not encourage and advice you to involve in MALPRACTICE. But they know it exists. To be sincere, nobody wants to fail ooo. We also understand that our brains are not equal.

During the exam You can't reason the way I do. I can't reason they way you do. The truth is that everybody wants to score high in JAMB but everybody ain't that brilliant and intelligent to tackle JAMB exam and Score like 280+

JAMB is the true test of ability. The exam is quite different from WAEC/ NECO because they are based on 'normed' grades. This means your grades in those exams depend on general performance. Those exams are also just a test of your rudimentary knowledge of topics.

Now to JAMB.

1. Make sure you get a syllabus to know what you are required to know in each subject.
2. Make sure you understand the difference between similar things e.g Cartillage, muscles, because they dont just test whether you have an idea but if you know the difference between pretty similar things
3. For calculation based subjects, JAMB options are actually based on misconceptions i.e if you don't understand well, your wrong answer will also be available.
4. Get as many past questions as possible. When you practice make sure you confirm your answers from reputable textbooks and not 'Hungry authors' with wuruwuru answers
5. Work on your speed and accuracy because its a test of both, there's no point knowing all the answers but not being able to finish.
6. You must attempt the simple questions first.
7. With your familiarity with past questions, you will discover the areas where questions usually come from & you can quickly pick on your areas of strength first.
8. Try to sleep early the day before the exam so that you can wake up fresh.
9. Even if you are not able to cover syllabus, don't panic,
approach the exam center with confidence.
Lastly, JAMB Repeats 60% of Past Questions in Exams.
Most times candidates do ask me this "Does JAMB repeat past questions?" 100% Yes, They do.
10. Always be time conscious in the Exam hall, don’t relent, don’t panic, relax and see yourself getting out of the hall with exceptional score.

I did my personal research On my findings, I discovered a shocking truth.
JAMB do repeat past questions. It’s not their faults that they do repeat past questions. The fact is that there are no new questions to ask. Am I right???
So get started with your revision and memorization
